*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Governor has signed an Executive Order allowing teleconference meetings under the Open Meetings Act (OMA).  The Town of Barrington has cancelled all face to face meetings until further notice.  All residents desiring to participate in the meeting may join by using the information below.  You are asked to mute your phone until Public Comment and recognition from the Chair.

·       Motor Vehicle Tax Bills have not been mailed.  They will be mailed once we have a State budget due to the uncertainty of the M/V tax phase-out.

·       Barrington Third Annual Day of Caring – Monday, October 12th, 10:00 AM-1:00 PM at Town Hall.  Contactless Food Drive to benefit Tap-In.

·       Mail ballot application for the General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 please go to:  (www.vote.ri.gov).  Applications must be received by Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 4:00 pm.

·       Mobile Blood Drive:  Tuesday, October 13, 2020 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Barrington Public Library parking lot.

·       Free Flu Clinics:  you must be registered at https://health.ri.gov/flu/.

        Barrington’s face mask requirement in all municipal and commercial buildings remains in effect.

        All businesses are re-opened with restrictions.

        Basketball courts remain closed.

        Fourteen (14) day quarantine requirement if traveling from States with >5% positivity rate.

 

DISCUSS AND ACT ON THE CONSENT AGENDA:  All items with an asterisk (*) are routine by the Town Council and will be enacted by one motion.  There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a council member or citizen so request, and the request is for good cause in which event the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be considered in its normal sequence on the agenda.

·       Housing Board of Trustees:  Carla DeStefano reappointed to a full member with a term expiring July 31, 2023.

·       Assessment Board of Review:  Jon Stafford is moving to full member for a term expiring on March 31, 2022.

·       Zoning Board of Review: Ian Donahue is moving to 1st alternate for a term expiring December 31, 2022.
