2.         Update on Police Department –

Town Manager Aaron Frank provided an update on the Colchester Police Department, including recent retirements, current staffing and the high call volume per officer compared with other inner Chittenden County communities.

3.         FY25 Draft Expenses

Deputy Manager Marshall provided an overview of the planned expenditures included in the draft FY 25 Municipal Services Budget, as well as information about impacts of the reduced labor force and examples of new positions and associated cost increases in order to maintain the current level of municipal services. Selectboard members asked about costs and services, understanding that they did not believe the taxpayers wished to decrease the level of services currently provided. 

In addition, the Selectboard discussed the external agency requests and asked questions related to the funding amounts.
