MINUTES
THURSDAY, MARCH 16, 2023 at 5:45 p.m.
In Accordance with Sections 3.07 and 5.02 of the Home Rule Charter and Sections 2.04.060 and 2.08.110 of the City Code, President Marino called a special meeting of the City Council which was held on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 5:45 PM. in the Cranston City Council Chambers, Cranston City Hall, 869 Park Ave., Cranston, RI 02910 for the purpose of considering the following items listed on the docket.
I. CALL TO ORDER BY THE COUNCIL PRESIDENT
The meeting was called to order at 5:49 P.M. by Council President Marino
II. ROLL CALL BY THE CLERK
Stated as Present: Councilwoman A. Germain, Councilman J. Donegan, Councilman R. Campopiano, Councilman C. Paplauskas, Council Vice-President L. Vargas, and Council President J. Marino; Councilman M. Reilly arrived at 5:55 P.M.
Absent: Councilman Ferri, Councilwoman Renzulli
Also present: Clerk T. Nelson, Assistant Clerk R. Zanni, Solicitor J. Verdecchia
III. INTRODUCTION OF NEW MATTERS BEFORE THE COUNCIL
A. Advice and Consent on Mayor’s Appointment of Michael Favicchio as Personnel Director and MOTION to refer to Special Finance Committee on Thursday, April 13, 2023 (Vote will be taken)
Discussion ensued relative to the date and availability of members of the Finance Committee.
MOTION made by J. Donegan, second by C. Paplauskas to refer the Mayor's Appointment of Michael Favicchio as Personnel Director to a Special Finance Committee meeting to be held on April 13, 2023.
VOTE: Germain - Aye, Donegan Aye, Campopiano Aye, Paplauskas Aye, Reilly Aye, Vargas Aye, Marino Aye
IV. ADJOURNMENT (Vote will be taken)
MOTION made by A. Germain, second by L. Vargas, and unanimously approved to adjourn at 6:00 P.M.
