MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CUMBERLAND TOWN COUNCIL

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, 2021 AT 7:30 P.M.

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:32pm with a roll call of members. Video (no audio)

2.  R-21-57A resolution authorizing and empowering Mayor Jeffrey J. Mutter to enter into a contract with RAD  Sports for the Diamond Hill Park Baseball Field reconstruction project in an amount not to exceed two hundred and forty-nine thousand seven-hundred and eight dollars ($249,708.00) Video

 

Parks & Recreation Director Mike Crawley gave details on this project to connect the existing baseball field and multipurpose fields.

 

At a request from Mayor Mutter, Mr. Crawley stated for the record that he had had more than one discussion with the youth baseball groups about this move to convert the Diamond Hill baseball field into a multiuse field. With the recent addition of the Martin Street baseball field, the town will still have three big league fields. The baseball groups were aware of the project and have been able to adjust their schedules to accommodate all their games.

 

A brief discussion ensued.
