MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CUMBERLAND TOWN COUNCIL
MONDAY, APRIL 25, 2022 AT 6:00P.M.

The regular meeting was called to order at 6:01pm
MEMBERS PRESENT:
President Kinch, Councilors Beaulieu, Schmitt, Magill, and Shaw.
Absent: Councilors Metivier and Bradley
Also present—Mayor Jeffrey J. Mutter; Solicitor Kelley Morris Salvatore; Town Clerk Sandra Giovanelli


President Kinch paused for public comments. There were none.
A. ORDINANCES FOR PUBLIC HEARING: 
1. #22-10A – An Ordinance amending the General Fund Budget for fiscal year 2021-2022 (Second Hearing)
Public hearing opened at 6:04pm.
Mayor Mutter asked to table to May 18, 2022 due to the uncertain outcome of the state-level discussion on legislation to accelerate the motor vehicle phaseout. The state decision should be finalized by June.
MOTION BY COUNCILOR SCHMITT, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR BEAULIEU, AND IT UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO TABLE TO MAY 18, 2022, BY A ROLL CALL. VOTE 5/0.
1. R-22-25 – A resolution adopting unsynchronized tax levy for portions of Fiscal Year 2022 and Fiscal Year 2023
Mayor Mutter discussed the figures with the Council.
MOTION BY COUNCILOR SCHMITT, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR SHAW, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO AMEND LINE 16 OF THE RESOLUTION BY REPLACING $70, 700,000 WITH $68,500,000; BY A ROLL CALL. VOTE 5/0.
MOTION BY COUNCILOR SHAW, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR SCHMITT, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE R-22-25 AS AMENDED, BY A ROLL CALL. VOTE 5/0.
