MONDAY, JUNE 20, 2022 AT 6:00P.M.

The regular meeting was called to order at 6:06pm with a roll call of members
MEMBERS PRESENT:
In person: President Kinch, Councilors Bradley, Magill, Metivier, Beaulieu and Schmitt.
Absent: Councilor Shaw

DPW Director Joe Duarte, Water Superintendent Bill Descoteaux
A. ENTERTAINMENT LICENSE
1. An application for a special event entertainment license from Parks & Recreation Director Michael Crawley for the Fourth of July Fireworks being held on July 3rd at Tucker Field, rain date on July 5th.
Everything was in order for this license.
MOTION BY COUNCILOR MAGILL, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR METIVIER, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE. VOTE 6/0
2. An application for a special event entertainment license from the Cumberland Beagle Club for the 4th Annual Layla’s Dream Motorcycle Run being held on July 16th, 2022, rain date July 17th, 2022
Pending approval from EMS and Fire.
MOTION BY COUNCILOR METIVIER, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR MAGILL, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE. VOTE 6/0
A. RESOLUTIONS
1. R-22-52 – A resolution authorizing Mayor Jeffrey J. Mutter to approve and issue a Change Order to Digger Landscaping for additional work associated with the Water Main Replacement on Meadowbrook Drive for the Town of Cumberland Water Department in an amount not to exceed Thirteen Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-Five Dollars and Two Cents ($13,745.02)
Water Superintendent Bill Descoteaux gave an overview of the project. Original order was for $26,053.00, but the project proved to entail less work than originally anticipated.
Discussion ensued between the Council, Mr. Descoteaux and DPW Director Joe Duarte regarding the installation of water pipes, developer responsibilities, gas mains, mapping and the final paving schedule, whether were there any outstanding claims for that area.
MOTION BY COUNCILOR MAGILL, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR METIVIER, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE. VOTE 6/0
B. ORDINANCES - PRESENTATION & PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE
1. #22-19 – An ordinance authorizing the placement of Stop Signs at the intersections of Lonsdale Farm Road and Chestnut Street and Lonsdale Farm Road and Woodland Street (Presented by Councilor Metivier)
Referred to the Ordinance Sub-Committee.
None.
