MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF MAY 17, 2023 AT 7:00P.M.

The special meeting was called to order at 7:00p.m.
MEMBERS PRESENT:
Council President Kinch, Councilors Magill, Metivier, and Schmitt
Absent: Councilors Bradley, Shaw & Beaulieu
Also present – Mayor Jeffrey J. Mutter, Town Clerk Sandra M. Giovanelli, Town Solicitor Kelley Morris Salvatore; Planning Director Jonathan Stevens and Acting EMS Chief Scott Dessert
1. EXECUTIVE SESSION:
VOTE BY OPEN CALL TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS ITEMS OF BUSINESS CITED IN R.I.G.L. §42-46-5 (a) 1-9)
a. §42-46-5 (a)(5) -- Any discussions or considerations related to the acquisition of real property for public purposes, i.e., relating to “Peterson/Puritan OU-2 site.”
b. § 42-46-5(a)(2) – Sessions pertaining to collective bargaining, i.e., relating to Cumberland EMS, Local 2075, IAFF.
MOTION BY COUNCILOR SCHMITT, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR MAGILL, AND IT IS VOTED TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION. VOTE 7/0
MOTION BY COUNCILOR SHAW, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR MAGILL, AND IT IS VOTED TO SEAL THE MINUTES. VOTE 7/0.
2. ADJOURNMENT: 
MOTION BY COUNCILOR MAGILL, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR METIVIER, AND IT IS VOTED TO ADJOURN AT 7:36PM, BY A ROLL CALL. VOTE 7/0.
