MINUTES FOR SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CUMBERLAND TOWN COUNCIL
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 2, 2026 AT 6:45 P.M.
CUMBERLAND PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING, COMMUNITY ROOM
1379 DIAMOND HILL ROAD, CUMBERLAND, RHODE ISLAND
Council President Kinch called the special meeting to order at 6:45p.m.
Members Present: Council President Kinch, Councilors Metivier, Bradley, Shaw, Magill, Beaulieu, and Sweet
Also present were Mayor Jeffrey J. Mutter; Kelley Morris Salvatore, Town Solicitor; and Sandra Giovanelli, Town Clerk.
MOTION BY COUNCILOR SHAW, SECONDED BY COUNCILOR MAGILL TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION. VOTE 7/0.
EXECUTIVE SESSION:
VOTE BY OPEN CALL TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS ITEMS OF BUSINESS CITED IN R.I.G.L. §42-46-5 (a) (1-9)
· Sessions pertaining to litigation. §42-46-5(a)(2) Rossignol vs. Town of Cumberland Planning Board, C.A. No. PC-2026-04648
· Sessions pertaining to potential litigation. §42-46-5(a)(2)
· Discussion or consideration related to disposition of publicly held property wherein advanced public information would be detrimental to the interest of the public. §42-46-5(a)(5)
