The meeting was called to order at 9:09p.m. by Vice Chairman Magill

Present: Vice Chairman Magill, Commissioners Kinch, Bradley, Shaw, Schmitt and Beaulieu

Absent: Commissioner Metivier

Also present: Police Chief Matthew Benson

 

ACCEPTANCE OF PREVIOUS MINUTES

A.  Acceptance of Minutes of the Special meetings of November 16, 2022, and November 29, 2022.

 

MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SHAW, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER KINCH, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE.  VOTE 6/0.

OLD BUSINESS

A.  2022-2023 LICENSE RENEWALS (tabled from November 29, 2022)

Pending updated TIPS certificates, payment of local taxes, fire approval, Department of Health

         Pending police hold 

 

Chief Benson stated he continues to be in open dialogue with the Club regarding their security plan. The second draft of their plan is with their legal counsel for review. The Club is acting in good faith to do everything properly.

  

MOTION BY COMMISSIONER KINCH, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER SCHMITT, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO TABLE TO FEBRUARY 1, 2023.  VOTE 6/0.

2.      ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH, ASHTON, RI dba Parish Hall, 1303 Mendon Road

Pending letter of good standing

3.      FILIBUSTER CLUB, dba Filibuster Club, 23 High Street

Pending letter of good standing

 

Vice Chair Magill suggested tabling both licenses.
