MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CUMBERLAND BOARD OF LICENSE COMMISSIONERS
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2024 AT 7:30P.M.

The meeting was called to order at 7:30p.m. by Chairman Metivier
Present: Vice Chairman Magill, Commissioners Kinch, Bradley, Shaw, Schmitt and Beaulieu
A. Acceptance of Minutes of January 3, 2024 meeting.
MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SHAW, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER KINCH, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE. VOTE 7/0.
1. CLASS BNT LIQUOR LICENSE – PUBLIC HEARING
1. An application for a Class B Non-Transferable Liquor License from RLS Restaurants d/b/a Pat’s Italian Restaurant located at 2000 Mendon Road.
Pending approval from the Building Official, Fire Department and Department of Health, certificate of good standing, retail sales permit, TIPS certification and food safety license.
Public hearing opened at 7:30pm
Applicants Rachel Stevens, Tower Hill Road, Wakefield, RI and Brandon Massi from Attleboro were present. They currently have two other locations in Johnston and Coventry.
Commissioner Metivier asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak in favor or against.
Commissioner Shaw asked when the anticipated opening would be.
Public hearing closed at 7:31pm
MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SHAW, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER KINCH, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE PENDING APPROVALS. VOTE 7 /0.
2. CLASS BV LIQUOR LICENSE TRANSFER – PUBLIC HEARING
1. An application for a Class BV liquor license transfer from Jerry’s Friendly Tap, LLC d/b/a Jerry’s Friendly Tap, to The Tap, LLC d/b/a The Tap located at 1225 Mendon Road
Pending approval from the Fire Department, Department of Health, condition of payment of any liens, certificate of good standing, retail sales permit, food safety license.
Public hearing opened at 7:33pm
Present were attorney Bo Akers of Brainsky & Levinson LLC, and the applicants Patrick Johnson and Charles Green, were present.
Commissioner Metivier asked if anyone in the audience wished to speak in favor or against.
Public hearing closed at 7:35pm
MOTION BY COMMISSIONER BEAULIEU, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER MAGILL, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO APPROVE PENDING ALL APPROVALS. VOTE 7 /0.
There were none.
MOTION BY COMMISSIONER SHAW, SECONDED BY COMMISSIONER KINCH, AND IT IS UNANIMOUSLY VOTED TO ADJOURN AT 7:36P.M. VOTE 7/0.
