Any person who submits a communication to the Council and wishes to speak on it must indicate this in writing no later than 4:00 p.m. the Thursday prior to the next regularly scheduled Council meeting. A person who lists more than one topic on their communication will be allowed to speak on the first one listed.

XIII. PUBLIC COMMENT
All persons wishing to make public comment shall sign a public comment sheet stating their name, address and the subject of their comments. Each speaker will be limited to three (3) minutes. The order of speakers will be on a first-come, first-serve basis and the maximum time for public comment shall be limited to thirty (30) minutes per meeting.

X. COUNCIL MEMBERS
1. Update on East Providence Restaurant Week – June 15 – 21, 2025. Council Vice President Rego
2. Request for update from the administration on DEM sign off on the Gazebo at Willett Pond. Councilman Lawson Dan Borges, Public Works, is waiting for final comments from the contractor; should be paved next month, including the gazebo.
3. Formal request for the administration to look into the following projects. Councilman Lawson
1. Bleachers for the softball field at the Big Al Complex
Dan Borges, Public Works, stated he a few sets that he can move to the softball field
2. Bench seating in front of the mural at Crescent Park
Dan Borges, Public Works, stated the benches have been ordered and assembled and will be installed soon.
4. Request for update from administration on kayak launch being put back in timeline. Councilman Lawson
5. Request for update from administration on anticipated start/end time for the Sabin Point playground upgrade. Councilman Lawson. Dan Borges, Public Works, stated the sewer line needs to be replaced first and as soon as that is completed the job will begin approximately middle of Summer.
6. Request for update from the administration on plan to store the train for this summer until the new concession/storage building is complete. Councilman Lawson. Crescent Park Carousel manager Tracy Johnson stated they will not be purchasing the electric train until there is permanent storage location available. Temporary storage is not an option as the train is electric and needs to be recharged overnight.
7. Request for update from administration on request to move forward with the event tent at Crescent Park. Councilman Lawson.
8. Request for update from the administration on the concession/storage building at Crescent Park. Councilman Lawson. Tracy Johnson, Crescent Park Carousel Manager stated she will have update at the May 7, 2025, meeting.
9. Request for update from the administration on the Oldham Feasibility Study. Councilman Lawson. Chief of Staff Patricia Resende stated they are in the modeling stages of the project.
10. Request for update from administration on sewer plant odor mitigation efforts. Councilman Lawson. Dan Borges, Public Works Director, stated the primary tank has been covered. Currently the facility doors must remain open until a project is completed, once that is done closing the doors should create less of an odor
