No.    2:     JOINT MEETING WITH THE EXETER-WEST GREENWICH SCHOOL

                  COMMITTEE AND TOWN OF WEST GREENWICH TOWN COUNCIL:

                  SCHOOL DISTRICT 2024-2025 OPERATIONAL AND CAPITAL BUDGET   

                  PROCESS, INCLUDING REVENUE EXPECTATIONS AND PROJECTED

                  EXPENSES

Superintendent James Erinakes provided an overview of the budget line-item increases/decreases from the current year’s to the proposed budget for next fiscal year’s school district budget.  There was an unexpected $609,941 in revenue received from the Governor’s FY ’24 budget.  These funds will be used to pay for the sprinkler system upgrade costing $1.1m.  The bond payment will be significantly reduced due to bonus’ for completing certain projects.  Budget is still being worked on for further reductions.
