A REGULAR MEETING of the Exeter Zoning Board of Review will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 7:00 pm at the Town Hall Council Chambers, 675 Ten Rod Road, Exeter, RI, when all persons will be heard for or against the following applications for dimensional variance, use variance, special permit, or appeal under the Zoning Ordinance.
AGENDA ITEMS:
A. The Appeal of Notice of Violation issued by Zoning Inspector David Thornley dated October 21, 2025 to David Duarte appellant and owner of the property located at 1029 Ten Rod Road, Exeter, RI; Zoned RU-3 and further designated as Assessor’s Plat 22 Block 2 Lot 3; in violation of: Section 2.4.1.61 operating as a junk or salvage yard in the RU-3 Zone; Section 2.4.2.4 Dimensional Regulations requiring a minimum front depth (setback) of 100 feet in the RU-3 Zone; Article V. Section 5.1.D. no parking or storage of commercial registered vehicles containing a weight of over 20,000 GVW (gross vehicle weight) which is not allowed in the RU-3 Zone; in violation of the Exeter Zoning Ordinance; continued from January 8, 2026.
B. The Appeal of Notice of Violation issued by Deputy Zoning Inspector Karen R. Ellsworth dated October 24, 2025 to Scott R. Labossiere appellant and owner of the property located at 94 Bates School House Road, Exeter, RI; Zoned CR-5 and further designated as Assessor’s Plat 31 Block 3 Lot 21; for processing wood without having obtained a Minor Land Development Project approval from the Exeter Planning Board as required by Sec. 2.4.1.41 of the Exeter Zoning Ordinance; and two commercial vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 20,000 pounds parked on the property in violation of Sec. 5.1(D) of the Exeter Zoning Ordinance; continued from January 8, 2026.
