The Johnston Town Council held a special meeting on October 4^th, 2023 at the Johnston Municipal Court, 1600 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.

Council President Russo called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

Also present were: Mayor Joseph M. Polisena, Jr., Douglas Jeffrey, Allan Fung, Esq., Vincent P. Baccara, Jr., and Donna Dumont, stenographer

·         PFM Group Consulting, LLC to present the findings of the financial and operational analysis of the Johnston School Department

Dean Kaplan and Ian Tyson of PFM Group Consulting, LLC presented the Council with its findings resulting from a financial and operational assessment of the Johnston School Department

Areas of concern were highlighted and recommendations were reviewed

Mr. Kaplan and Mr. Tyson answered questions from the Council and audience after the presentation

Mr. Fung noted that the School Department has begun working with an intermediary consultant
