The Johnston Town Council shall hold a special meeting on July 17^th, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at the Johnston Municipal Court, 1600 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.

·         Resolution 2024-33: A Resolution requesting the transfer of $2,350,000 of Surplus Funds to the Capital Projects Fund for Road Improvement and Maintenance Projects Account for Fiscal Year 2024-2025

 

·         Resolution 2024-34: A Resolution placing on the ballot for the November 5, 2024 General Election, a Question amending the Johnston Town Charter relating to Town representation on the Johnston School Committee

 

·         Resolution 2024-35: A Resolution placing on the ballot for the November 5, 2024 General Election, a Question amending the Johnston Town Charter relating to a four-year term for Town Council members

 

·         Resolution 2024-36: A Resolution placing on the ballot for the November 5, 2024 General Election, a Question amending the Johnston Town Charter relating to abiding by the Code of Ethics

 

·         Resolution 2024-37: A Resolution placing on the ballot for the November 5, 2024 General Election, a Question amending the Johnston Town Charter relating to creating the position of Auxiliary Judge of Probate

 

·         Resolution 2024-38: A Resolution placing on the ballot for the November 5, 2024 General Election, a Question amending the Johnston Town Charter relating to budget introduction and enactment

 

·         Resolution 2024-39: A Resolution placing on the ballot for the November 5, 2024 General Election, a Question amending the Johnston Town Charter relating to audit and audit standards for the Town and School Department Financial Reporting

 

The Council shall meet pursuant to Rhode Island General Laws 42-46-1 et seq., commonly known as the Rhode Island Open Meetings Law.
