Inaugural Meeting

January 13, 2025

 

The Johnston Town Council shall hold a meeting on Monday, January 13, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the Johnston Municipal Court, 1600 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919

 

The Town Clerk will call the meeting to order

 

The Town Sergeant will lead with the Pledge of Allegiance

                                      District 1 – Councilman Elect- Linda L. Folcarelli

                                      District 2 – Councilman-Elect- Lauren A. Garzone

                                      District 3 – Councilman-Elect- Alfred T. Carnevale

                                      District 4 – Councilman-Elect- Robert V. Russo

                                      District 5 – Councilman-Elect- Robert J. Civetti

 

-Mayor Joseph M. Polisena, Jr., will speak and administer the oath of office to the Johnston Town Council

• Nomination/Election of Town Council President

 

• Nomination/Election of Town Council Vice-President

 

• Resolution 2025-1: Adoption of the Town Council Rules for the 2025-2027 Term

 

 

 

• First Town Council Appointment to the Johnston School Committee

 

• Second Town Council Appointment to the Johnston School Committee

 

 

- Mayor Joseph M. Polisena, Jr., will administer the oath of office to the new members of Johnston School Committee

 

• Resolution 2025-2; Appointment of the Municipal Court Judgel

 

 

• Resolution 2025-3; Appointment of the Auxiliary Municipal Court Judge

 

 

• Resolution 2025-4; Appointment of the Probate Court Judge

 

 

-Mayor Joseph M. Polisena, Jr., will administer the oath of office to the judges

 

 

• Continuation of all regularly occurring Town Council Business to Tuesday, January 21^st, 2025 at 7:00 pm

 

 

-The Council President will speak
