         Pursuant to the provisions of Article II, Section 203 of the Town Charter and in accordance with Sections 42-46-2., 42-46-4., 42-46-5., and 42-46-6., RIGL, I hereby call a Special Meeting of the Town Council to formally consider, discuss and act upon the following items of business. All items on this agenda, may be considered, discussed and voted upon.

Present representing the City of Newport were Mayor Jeanne-Marie Napolitano, Council Vice Chair Lynn Underwood Ceglie.

 

Also present representing the City of Newport was City Manager Joseph Nicholson.

The Moderator of the Forum was Joseph Pratt, Executive Director/CEO of The Boys and Girls Clubs of Newport and Board Chair of the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce.

 

The audience submitted questions regarding the regionalization ballot question and the Middletown bond ballot question. Questions were submitted to the Moderator and answered by Middletown Town Council President Paul M. Rodrigues, Middletown Councillor Barbara A. VonVillas, Newport Mayor Jeanne-Marie Napolitano and Newport Council Vice Chair Lynn Underwood Cegile.

 

On motion of Vice President Welch, duly seconded, it was voted unanimously to adjourn said meeting at 8:15 p.m.
