Parking and Use Table Subcommittee

1.    Review and provide response to Town Council questions on recommended amendments to zoning ordinances Article 13 – Off-street Parking and Loading

A.    The subcommittee went through Councilor Flynn’s questions on the recommended amendments to the off-street parking requirements.

B.    There was discussion about requiring minimum parking spaces for residential dwellings by the number of dwellings or by bedrooms. 

C.   The subcommittee agreed to have the Planning Department look at trends and parking requirements in other municipalities for residential conventional development uses, and residential care and assisted living facility uses.  

D.   The subcommittee will continue the conversation at the next meeting.  

2.    Review and discuss possible amendments to the Middletown Zoning Ordinance, Section 602: Schedule of District Regulations - Uses and Districts

A.    The subcommittee did not review this agenda item.
