· Call to Order
o The meeting was called to order at 6:02 pm by Co-Chair Charlie Roberts. (10) out of twelve (12) voting members were present or represented by an alternate.
o Also present: Derek Osterman, Justin Bernard and Jarred Jackson, OPM, Colliers Project Leaders; Doug Brown and Ed Cifune, DBVW Architects; Tina Stanislaski and Matt LaRue, HMFH Architects; Middletown Town Council members and Middletown School Committee members and various community members.
· Joint Meeting with the Middletown Town Council, Middletown School Committee and Middletown Public Schools Building Committee, re: To discuss the School Building Program in the Town and matters related thereto.
o After introductions, roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance, Derek Osterman presented an update on behalf of the Building Committee that comprised of the following topics:
o Status of Existing Facilities
o Overview of the Recommendation (Middle/High School)
o Educational Planning Update
o Anticipated Project Costs
o Financial Review (covered by Matt Blais of Hilltop Securities)
o Project Schedule
o Legislative Priorities

o After the presentation, Town Council President Paul Rodrigues and Vice President Tom Welch thanked the Building Committee for the thorough update and President Rodrigues stated that the Committee should continue to move forward with their work toward completing a Stage II Application in June, 2023. School Committee Chair Theresa Silveira Spengler stated that the School Committee would be discussing and voting on the recommendation from the Building Committee to proceed with a new middle/high school at its meeting on January 26th.

· Adjournment
o MOTION: Ed Brady moved that the Building Committee adjourn at 8:22 pm and Charlie Roberts seconded. The motion passed unanimously (10-0).
Future Meeting Schedule – The next meeting will be held on February 1, 2023, at 5:00p.m. at the Oliphant Administration Building.
