The Middletown Public Schools recognize the necessity and value of parent involvement to support student success and academic achievement.  In order to assure this collaborative partnership between parents and schools, the School Committee, working through its administration, is committed to:

·         Involving parents as partners in school improvement teams,

·         Establishing effective two-way communications with all parents, respecting the diversity and differing needs of families,

·         Developing strategies and programs at schools to enable parents to participate actively in their children’s education,

·         Providing support and coordination for school staff and parents to implement and sustain appropriate parent involvement from K-12, and

·         Utilizing schools to connect students and families with community resources that provide educational, as well as social/emotional support.
