Solicitation of Funds

 

SOLICITATION OF FUNDS

 

            The School Committee recognizes the value of the personal development of our students through their participation in charitable and humanitarian efforts.

 

            Guidelines for such participation are as follows:

 

  1. Participation shall not benefit any profit-making organization.
  2. Funds shall not be solicited from or by school personnel while on school property.
  3. Promotional literature may be distributed subject to approval by the Superintendent.
  4. Direct fundraising activities by non-school agencies or representatives in the schools or at school functions is prohibited.
  5. Fundraising activities must be approved by the Superintendent.
  6. The School Committee does not approve, authorize, nor condone door-to-door solicitation by students in Grades K-7 unless a accompanied by a parent/guardian or their designee, nor solicitation after dark by any student in grades K-12.
  7. The building principal shall submit to the Superintendent for approval, the name of any organization for which fundraising by students is planned.
