Meeting Minutes
The meeting was called to order by the Chair, Mr. Miller, at 6pm. The roll was called; all full members were present except for Mr. Heany. Ms. Rosenthal, as an alternate member, was identified as a voting member for the meeting.
1. An appeal petition regarding 59 Aquidneck Avenue was addressed by Attorney Jeremiah C. Lynch, III. Mr. Lynch agreed to a briefing schedule of thirty days plus twenty days for reply.
2. Petition of Atlantic Beach Suites II, LLC for real estate located at 42-44 & 56 Wave Avenue: Attorney David P. Martland indicated that the property was being re-advertised.
3. Petition of Cenz Corporation and GD Middletown West Main I, LLC regarding real estate located at 0 West Main Road: continued until May 2022 meeting.
4. Summary Petition of Dan & Cedar Hwang and Alber Girard for real estate located at 181 Wolcott Avenue: There were no public comments on this summary petition. A motion by Mr. Kirton, seconded by Ms. Rosenthal, to accept the petition was approved 5-0.
5. Extension Petition by Exit Strategy, LLC for real estate located at 991 & 995 West Main Road: following discussion, a motion made by Mr. Kirton and seconded by Ms. Rosenthal to accept the petition was approved 5-0.
6. Petition of Newport National Real Estate, LLC for a variance regarding the height of the proposed clubhouse at the real estate located at 425 Mitchell’s Lane: following a presentation by Attorney Rebert M. Silva, which included expert presentations, Mr. Kirton moved, and Ms. Rosenthal seconded, to approve the variance request, which was approved 5-0.
7. Petition of Endeavor Holdings, LLC regarding real estate located at 100 & 102 Valley Road: following discussion, a motion by Ms. Rosenthal, seconded by Mr. Silveira, to approve the petition was adopted 5-0.
8. Petitions of Lori & Kent Stone and David Shrake for a Special Use and a Variance for the real estate located at 19 Loring Street: following discussion, a motion by Mr. Silveira, seconded by Ms. Rosenthal, to approve the petitions was adopted 5-0.
9. Petition of Helio Matos regarding real estate located at 125 Chases Lane: following discussion, a motion by Ms. Rosenthal, seconded by Mr. Kirton, to approve the petitions was adopted 5.0.
