BUILDING INSPECTION DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the contractual agreement between the Town of Narragansett and Russell DesGranges to perform plumbing and mechanical inspections for the Building Official’s Office from July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

POLICE DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase and installation of equipment for three (3) new Police vehicles from Global Public Safety in the amount of $40,998.00.  APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

FIRE DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO ACCEPT a reimbursable Fire Act grant of $118,500.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program and for the Town Manager to sign acceptance of said grant.  This grant will cover the purchase of a new compressor for the fire department.  The Federal share of this grant is 95% or $112,857.14 of the approved amount and the department share of the costs is 5% or $5,642.86. ACCEPTED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)
  2. A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for Fire Hose, Pump, and Ladder Testing to the lowest bidder, Waterway of the Hudson Valley at their quoted bid prices for a three-year period. AWARDED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

FINANCE DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the contract amendment for additional professional services with GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc, and their partner iParamatrics for Disaster Recover Administrative Services for Covid-19 in an amount not to exceed $22,084.00 and AUTHORIZE the Town Manager to sign the contract after review by the Town Solicitor. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE a one (1) year extension of the annual preventative maintenance agreement for Instrumentation, Control Programming & SCADA Equipment/System from Electrical Installations, Inc., in the amount of $10,800.00 (Water - $3,600, Wastewater - $7,200) and at their quoted hourly rates. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of Dell Computers, Laptops, Monitors, Workstation and Laptop Cases as part of the PC Replacement Program from Zones LLC, in the amount of $45,481.41. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the Animal Rescue League of Southern RI to conduct their annual “Bark on the Beach” fundraiser at the Town Beach on October 2, 2021 from 8:00 am to 11:30 am subject to approval of state and local regulations. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)
  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the Parks and Recreation Department, the Narragansett Lions Club and the Narragansett Chamber of Commerce to host the third annual “Endless Summer Festival” to be held on September 17th and 18th, 2021.  The 2-day concert event will be held at the Narragansett Beach Cabana and North Pavilion areas subject to approval of state and local regulations.   1. A MOTION TO APPROVE donating the 2007 Ford E-450 Super Duty Passenger Van to the Pomona Grange, d/b/a Washington County Fair. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

22.  A MOTION TO DIRECT the Town Manager to enter a “Memorandum of Agreement”, after review by the Town Solicitor, with Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Rhode Island to place one (1) or more donation bins on Town managed property for the collection of donated articles of clothing.
