A MOTION to retire to Executive Session of the Town Council in accordance with RI General Laws §42-46-4 and §42-46-5(a) for the following purpose:
Personnel – discussion regarding the Town Manager position, in accordance with RIGL 42-46-5(a)(1).
Motion by Councilor Murray, seconded by Councilor Dzwierzynski to increase salary to $135,000.00, severance to 180 days, and a one-year contract extension to 9/8/2024. Motion so voted with 4 in favor; Councilor Cicilline Buonanno opposed.
Motion by Councilor Cicilline Buonanno, seconded by Councilor Dzwierzynski to exit executive session and reconvene in open session. So unanimously voted.

1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the 2022 renewal applications for Miscellaneous Licenses, Peddlers Licenses, Soldier and Sailor Peddler Licenses, Private Detective Licenses and Mobile Food Establishment Licenses, all subject to state and local regulations.
2. A MOTION TO APPROVE the electrical repairs to the emergency lighting and remote heads at the North and South Beach Pavilions to be completed by E.W. Audet & Sons, Inc., utilizing the General Electrical Services contract, in the amount of $4,600.00.
3. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of hardware for the Firewall Project with Zones LLC, in the amount of $16,902.00. APPROVED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
4. A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for Tax Sale Title Search to the lowest bidder, Taft & McSally, LLP, at their quoted bid prices ($85.00 per title exam; $50.00 per collector’s deed; and $8.25 per postage/notice) for the 2022 tax sale. AWARDED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
5. A MOTION TO APPROVE a petition from National Grid and Verizon New England to relocate existing Pole 1 twenty feet (20’) back in a westerly direction, from its present location, per the customer’s request. APPROVED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
6. A MOTION TO ADOPT a Proclamation recognizing Arbor Day 2022 and the importance of trees in Narragansett. ADOPTED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
7. A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the South County Museum to sponsor a family day of “Music at the Museum.” This event is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 pm subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
8. A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the South County Museum to host a “Civil War Reenactment” at the South County Museum. This event is scheduled for Saturday, July 16th and Sunday, July 17th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
9. A MOTION TO APPROVE a Class F-1 Alcoholic Beverage License for the South County Museum for its “Music at the Museum” fundraising event to be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at its location at 115 Strathmore Street, Narragansett, subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
10. A MOTION TO APPROVE a Victualling License application for Linda’s Diner LLC d/b/a Meldgie’s Diner, 909 Boston Neck Road, Suite 1, Narragansett, RI, subject to local and state regulations. APPROVED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
11. A MOTION TO APPROVE to extend the temporary expansion of service area to be in accordance with the expiration of the Governor’s current Executive Orders for WT Galilee Corp. d/b/a Capt. Foggy’s Fish House, 294 Great Island Road, subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Kopech/Murray 3-0)
12. A MOTION TO DIRECT the Town Solicitor to prepare an ordinance amendment to waive all the local fees required for building and fire inspection for all places of worship in the town of Narragansett. AMEND MOTION TO DIRECT THE TOWN SOLICITOR TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE THAT REFLECTS THE ABILITY TO WAIVE THE BUILDING INSPECTION AND FIRE INSPECTION FEES ON A CASE-BY-CASE BASIS. DIRECTED (Cicilline Buonanno/Murray 3-0)
13. A MOTION TO DIRECT the Town Solicitor to prepare and submit an Access to Public Records Act (APRA) request on behalf of the Town for all documents and correspondence pertaining to the Galilee RFP development, administration, and evaluation process from all state agencies involved including RI DEM, RI Commerce, and the Governor’s Office.
