  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the waiver of interest for taxpayers in accordance with Ordinance 2010-936.
  2. A MOTION TO APPROVE the annual renewal of Coastline Employee Assistance Program services for 2023 in the amount of $3,630.
  3. A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY AND CONFIRM the body repairs for Police Department Car #21, completed by Quonset Auto Body, Inc., in the amount of $9,905.78.
  4. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of three (3) Video Laryngoscopes for the Fire Department from Mercury Medical, in the total amount of $4,114.00.
  5. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of two (2) new Magicard ID card printers for the Beach Division from the lowest quoted vendor, B&H Photo Video, in the amount of $2,500.00. 
  6. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of SANS Institute End User Security Awareness Training services from Zones LLC, in the amount of $7,248.00.
  7. A MOTION TO AWARD the contract for construction testing services for the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library Renovation project to Prime Consulting Inc., in the amount of $5,910.00.

NEW BUSINESS:

POLICE DEPARTMENT

9.      A MOTION TO APPROVE the five (5)-year lease agreement with Utility Associates to expend the first year’s funds for thirty-one (31) body-worn cameras and associated equipment for the Police Department with a total five (5)-year cost of the program at $234,730.00 broken down to $54,250.00 the first year, and $45,120.00 each of the next four (4) years. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Lawler 5-0)

PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for the Beach Portable Soft Frozen Beverage Concession at the Town Beach to the sole bidder, Del’s Mon LLC., d/b/a Del’s Lemonade of South County, at the annual quoted payment to the Town of $35,000.00, for a five (5)-year period. AWARDED (Lawler/Kopech 4-0; Cicilline Buonanno recused)

 

FIRE DEPARTMENT

11.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the “piggybacking” of the Adoption Agreement between the City of Providence, RI and Bound Tree Medical, LLC for the purchase of medical supplies for the Fire Department at the contract prices and discounts. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Lawler 5-0)

12.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of three (3) portable radios and accessories for the Fire Department from Motorola Solutions Inc., pursuant to the State of Rhode Island Master Price Agreement, in the total amount of $18,294.72. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Lawler 5-0)

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

 

13.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the removal and replacement of the Town Hall Exterior Stairway by Engineering to be completed by Abcore Restoration Company, Inc., in the amount of $37,720.00, utilizing the General Construction Services contract. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

14.  A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for Road Striping Services to Safety Marking, Inc. at their quoted unit prices for the Fiscal Years (FY) 2022/2023 and 2023/2024. AWARDED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the contract amendment for additional services to design water system modifications to reduce disinfection byproducts and water age within our water system with Pare Corporation, in the amount of $92,675.00. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)
  2. A MOTION TO APPROVE the next five (5) year contract extension (Fifth Amendment, Third Extended Term) with Synagro for Waste Transportation, Treatment, and Disposal Services at the Scarborough Wastewater Treatment Facilities (WWTF). APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO AUTHORIZE staff to write a letter of objection to CRMC requesting a Public Hearing relative to the replacement and extension of a dock located at 1201 Succotash Road. AUTHORIZED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

 

18.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of one (1) new Live Streaming System for the Large Boardroom from PMA Industries, Inc., in the amount of $11,800.00, utilizing the State of Rhode Island Master Price Agreement. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

  1.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of ThinkGard’s Managed Office365 backup and disaster recovery from ThinkGard Total Data Security, in the amount of $16,875.00 for a three (3)-year period, utilizing the Town of South Kingstown’s Agreement. APPROVED  (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the renewal of the Mimecast Email Filtering and Archiving Service with Zones, LLC in the amount of $17,276.97. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

TOWN CLERK

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE a Mobile Food Establishment License application for Peter Xiarhos, dba Sam’s New York System, subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)
  2. A MOTION TO DIRECT the Town Clerk regarding increasing the number of authorized liquor licenses in 2023. DIRECTED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0).
  3. A MOTION TO AUTHORIZE the Town Clerk to advertise upcoming appointments to boards, committees and commissions. AUTHORIZED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

TOWN COUNCIL

 

24.  A MOTION TO ADOPT a resolution authorizing bonds and  to direct the Town Manager to present possible prioritized projects and project schedule time frame for the road improvement, public buildings and other public infrastructure for the $20,000,000 bond that was passed overwhelmingly on November 8th, 2022. WITHDRAWN

 

25.  A MOTION TO SCHEDULE a Work Session with the Library Board of Trustees to provide a status update on all aspects of the Library Project. SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 6, 2023 (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 3-2; Cicilline Buonanno and Kopech opposed)

 

26.  A MOTION TO INTRODUCE, READ, PASS AND ACCEPT as a first reading an amendment to ordinance to change start time of regular Council meetings from 7:30 PM to 6:30PM. AMEND MOTION TO CHANGE START TIME TO 7:00 PM (Kopech/ Lawler 5-0) READ, PASSED AND ACCEPTED AS AMENDED (Lawler/ Ferrandi 5-0)
