ANTICIPATED IN-PERSON MEETING: The Narragansett Town Council is anticipating to conduct this meeting in person due to the 2/21/2022 expiration of the Governor’s Executive Order No. 22-17 that extends Executive Order 22-01. If the Executive Order is not extended, and if no other legal authorization occurs prior to the meeting date, the Narragansett Town Council will conduct this meeting in person with no remote component.
POTENTIAL FOR REMOTE MEETING: The Narragansett Town Council will conduct this meeting remotely if the Governor’s Executive Order No. 22-17/22-01 is extended, or there is other legal authorization in place prior to the date of this meeting.

Motion by Councilor Cicilline Buonanno, seconded by Councilor Dzwierzynski to retire to Executive Session of the Town Council in in accordance with RI General Laws §42-46-4 and §42-46-5(a) for the following purpose:

7. A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY, AND CONFIRM the emergency purchase of ammunition for the Police Department from Elite Indoor Gun Range, in the amount of $7,150.00.

A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the Narragansett Lions Club for its annual “Blessing of the Fleet Seafood Festival” to be held on Thursday July 28, Friday July 29 and Saturday July 30, 2022 at Veteran’s Memorial Park and Gazebo Park, subject to state and local regulations. 14. A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the Narragansett Lions Club for their annual “10 Mile Road Race” to be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 pm, subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)
15. A MOTION TO WAIVE the current policy and AUTHORIZE the use of the General Construction Services Contract with Abcore Restoration Company, Inc. for the design and construction of a permanent roof structure on the deck of the Canonchet/North Beach Clubhouse, in the amount of $184,400.00. FAILED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 1-4; Pugh, Cicilline Buonanno, Kopech and Murray opposed)
16. A MOTION TO APPROVE the upgrades to the fuel island and monitoring system at the Public Works Department, to be completed by Trask Petroleum Equipment Company pursuant to the Sourcewell Contract in the amount of $107,195.59. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)
17. A MOTION TO AUTHORIZE the Town Council President to execute on behalf of the Town the Agreement with the Library and the Friends of the Library in the form attached hereto and once executed by all parties DIRECT the Town Manager to advance up to $1,500,000 or such lesser amount as is necessary to evidence a fully-funded construction budget at the time of the application to OLIS.
