1.      A MOTION TO APPROVE a Class F-1 Alcoholic Beverage License for the Narragansett Chamber of Commerce for the “Holiday Street Faire” event to be held on December 3, 2022 (snow date of December 4, 2022) at 170 Clarke Road, subject to state and local regulations.

 

2.      A MOTION TO APPROVE the contract extension for Security System Program and Design Services with Grist Security Consulting, Inc. at their quoted hourly rates, for a one-year period ending February 18, 2023, under the same terms and conditions as the original contract.

 

3.      A MOTION TO APPROVE the renewal of the website hosting, support, and site refresh with CivicPlus, in the amount of $7,228.04.

 

4.      A MOTION TO APPROVE the renewal of the Professional Listing for Kinney Bungalow on WeddingPro for 2023 from The Knot Worldwide, Inc., in the amount of $5,040.00.

 

5.      A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY AND CONFIRM electrical repairs to the field lighting at Sprague Park, completed by E. W. Audet & Sons, Inc. in the amount of $6,505.09, utilizing the General Electrical Services contract. 

 

6.      A MOTION TO APPROVE the Fiber Optic Cable Replacement at the Wastewater Treatment Facility, to be completed by Third Millennium Communications, Inc., in the amount of $3,964.94.

 

7.      A MOTION TO APPROVE the winterization of water pipes at The Clarke Center to be completed by Atlantic Control Systems, Inc., in the amount of $4,378.85, utilizing the General Plumbing Services contract.

 

8.      A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of one (1) set of Turnout Gear from MES Shipman’s Fire Equipment Co. pursuant to the Sourcewell Contract in the amount of $4,480.00.

10.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the renovations to the Sprague Park Baseball Field, to be completed by Abcore Restoration Company, Inc., in the amount of $36,124.00, utilizing the General Construction Services contract. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

 

POLICE DEPARTMENT

 

11.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of nine (9) radios for the Police Department from Motorola Solutions, in the amount of $32,792.31. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

12.  A MOTION TO ACCEPT a reimbursable FY2022 Department of Homeland Security (DHS): Emergency Management Preparedness Grant (EMPG) in the amount of $25,000.00 from the Rhode Island Emergency Management Agency and to AUTHORIZE the Town Manager to sign acceptance of said grant. 13.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of one (1) new 2022 Rosenbauer Commander Pumper Truck from Specialty Vehicles, Inc. through HGACBuy (Houston-Galveston Area Council) Purchasing Cooperative, in the amount of $563,926.00. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

 

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

 

14.  A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for Unleaded Gasoline ($.145 increment over (OPD) oil price daily) and Diesel Fuel ($.145 over OPD) to Santa Buckley Energy, for the period ending August 31, 2023. AWARDED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

 

15.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of Cold Patch and Hot Patch, based on the State of Rhode Island Master Price Agreement for Asphalt; Cold Patch, Hot Patch, Berm Mix and Winter Mix: Cold Patch (delivered) at $175.00/ton from D’Ambra Construction Co., Inc. and Hot Patch (picked-up) at $100.00/ton from Lynch Corp., through the expiration of the contract. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

16.  A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY AND CONFIRM the multi-year contract award with Direct Energy Business Marketing, LLC (d/b/a Direct Energy Business), for the purchase of natural gas at their quoted bid fixed price of $8.68 per dekatherm for a three-year period. APPROVED, RATIFIED AND CONFIRMED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

17.   A MOTION TO APPROVE a one (1) year extension of the annual preventative maintenance agreement for Instrumentation, Control Programming & SCADA Equipment/System from Electrical Installations, Inc., in the amount of $10,800.00 (Water - $3,600, Wastewater - $7,200) and at their quoted hourly rates. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Dzwierzynski 5-0)

18.  A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library Renovation to E.W. Burman, Inc. in the amount of $5,478,000 (Total Base Bid – Sum Total Bid Items 1 through 5 plus Alternate Bid Item 1) subject to compliance with all state laws applicable to state funded projects and construction, including, but not limited to, Minority Business Enterprises (R.I. Gen. Laws § 37-14.1) and Equal Employment Opportunity (R.I. Gen. Laws § 28-5.1).  This award is conditional upon the Town’s receipt of formal notification from OLIS that E.W.
