  2. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of one (1) Hooklift A Frame for Public Works from the lowest quoted vendor, Sanitary Equipment Co., Inc., in the amount of $2,751.83.
  3. A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY AND CONFIRM repairs to the Department of Public Works’ Bucher Sweeper completed by Sanitary Equipment Co., Inc. in the amount of $7,706.82.
  4. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase and installation of MySeniorCenter Management System and Touchscreen application for the Narragansett Community Center from Xavus Solutions, in the amount of $4,800.00.  
  5. A MOTION TO APPROVE the renewal of nine (9) annual maintenance licenses for existing GIS software and three (3) annual maintenance licenses for ArcPad GIS which will be converted to an online Mobile Worker Annual Subscription from Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI), in the amount of $5,236.65.
  6. A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for the Purchase and Installation of Flag Poles at Sprague Park to the lowest bidder, RI Flags LLC, in the amount of $6,638.40. 
  7. A MOTION TO APPROVE the renovations to the Municipal Court service window and the installation of a service window in the entry door to the Town Clerk’s Office, to be completed by  Abcore Restoration Company, Inc., in the amount of $7,420.00, utilizing the General Construction Services contract.
  8. A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY AND CONFIRM the wastewater pump motor repairs, completed by Delta Electro Power, Inc. in the amount of $9,410.61.
  9. A MOTION TO APPROVE the wastewater pump repairs to be completed by Delta Electro Power, Inc. in the amount of $6,726.98.
  10. A MOTION TO APPROVE, RATIFY AND CONFIRM the electrical work associated with the Sprague Pump Station Spiral Staircase Replacement completed by E.W. Audet & Sons, Inc. in the amount of $6,925.00 and the purchase of a replacement pump motor from Delta Electro Power, Inc. in the amount of $7,240.68; for a total cost of $14,165.68.

11.  A MOTION TO RECEIVE the recommendation from the Coastal Access Improvement Committee to continue the policy granting free Narragansett Town Beach walk on passes to Narragansett Tribe members. RECEIVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Kopech 5-0)

 

POLICE DEPARTMENT

12.  A MOTION TO APPROVE this request to allow the Town to hire certified police officer lateral transfers at a starting salary step that corresponds to their years of experience as a certified officer and AUTHORIZE the Town Manager to sign a Memo of Understanding Addendum to the agreement between the Town of Narragansett and the Local 303 International Brotherhood of Police Officers collective bargaining agreement.  APPROVED AND AUTHORIZED(Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

13.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the Police Department’s request to hire one Probationary Patrol Officer. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

FINANCE DEPARTMENT

 

14.  A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for 2023 Statistical Reappraisal Services to the second lowest bidder, Northeast Revaluation Group, LLC, in the amount of $195,000.00 and AUTHORIZE the Town Manager to sign the contract after review by the Town Solicitor. AWARDED AND AUTHORIZED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0).

 

15.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the 2022 task orders professional services with GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. and their partner iParamatrics for Disaster Recover Administrative Services for Covid-19 in the amount of $9,701.25 and Administrative Services for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) in the amount of $9,523.50; for a total of $19,224.75. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT

 

16.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase and installation of steel backed timber guardrails for areas on two (2) newly paved roads, Circuit Dr. and Old Boston Neck Rd. by Sprague Bridge from Sole Source Construction, LLC., in the amount of $48,800.00.  Amend motion to approve the purchase and installation of steel backed timber guardrails for the newly paved Boston Neck Road by Sprague Bridge from Sole Source Construction, LLC, in the amount of $24,400.00.  AMEND MOTION APPROVED AS AMENDED (Lawler/Kopech 5-0)

 

17.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the repairs to the front and rear of the DPW Salt Barn  to be completed by Abcore Restoration Company, Inc., in the amount of $49,860.00, utilizing the General Construction Services contract. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

18.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the required maintenance to the retaining wall along Sandy Beach Road and waives the current policy to use the Miscellaneous Repair & Construction Contract for this project; to be completed by George Sherman Sand & Gravel Co., Inc. in the amount of $65,000.00. ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

 

19.  A MOTION TO ACCEPT a grant in the amount of $339,456 from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Economic Development Administration to fund the development of a wastewater facilities plan amendment and AUTHORIZE the Town Finance Director to sign the Financial Assistance Award for same. 20.  A MOTION TO INTRODUCE, READ, PASS AND ACCEPT as a First Reading “An Ordinance in Amendment of Chapter 78, of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Narragansett, Rhode Island, entitled “Utilities”, Article III (Sewers) Section 78-401 “Levied” (Sewer Lot Development Fee). PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

 

23.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the Rotary Club of Wakefield, Rhode Island for the use of Veterans Memorial Park and Gazebo Park for the 40th Narragansett Annual Art Festival to be held Friday, June 23, Saturday June 24, and Sunday June 25, 2023. 24.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the Wakefield Rotary Club to host a “Children’s Festival” on Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 8am – 5pm at the South County Museum subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

25.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from Ragnar Events, LLC to pass through the Town of Narragansett during their 200-mile relay race, subject to state and local laws. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)
