Motion by Councilor Cicilline Buonanno, seconded by Councilor Kopech to appoint James Callaghan as Town Solicitor.  Motion failed with 2 in favor; Councilors Dzwierzynski, Ferrandi and Lawler opposed.

  2. A MOTION TO APPROVE the purchase of three (3) Armor Express Level II Razor Bullet Proof Vest packages from AAA Police Supply, in the amount of $2,685.00 ($895.00 each).
  3. A MOTION TO APPROVE approves the purchase of parts needed for the Department of Public Works’ Vactor Truck from C.N. Wood Enviro, LLC in an amount not to exceed  $5,850.00.
  4. A MOTION TO APPROVE the renewal subscription to Fire Rescue1 Academy Online Training Program, including the Evals from Lexipol, in the amount of $3,897.52.
  5. A MOTION TO APPROVE the expenditure of $10,000.00 to the Dunes Club which represents 50% of the total fee of the 2023 fireworks display, to be produced by Pyrotecnico Fireworks, Inc.

12.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from the Narragansett Lions Club for its annual “Blessing of the Fleet Seafood Festival” to be held on Thursday July 27, Friday July 28 and Saturday July 29, 2023, at Veteran’s Memorial Park and Gazebo Park, subject to state and local regulations.  APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Kopech 5-0)
