·                     A MOTION TO SCHEDULE a Public Hearing to amend the text of Section 5.5 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Narragansett entitled Zoning, for the purpose of adding a new Historic District Zone, (170 Clarke Road – “The Camp”).  SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 6, 2023 (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the annual Power DMS Document Management Subscription Fee for the Police Department from Innovative Data Solutions, Inc. d/b/a PowerDMS, Inc., in the amount of $5,805.76.
2. A MOTION TO APPROVE the one-year contract extension for Pest Control Services – Town Wide with Falcon Pest Services, LLC, at their bid price of $17.00 per building, per month, under the same terms and conditions as the original contract.
3. A MOTION OF APPROVE the contract extension for Professional Stenographic Reporting Services with three (3) vendors: Lisa Thacker, Alesha Cerrito, and Dianne Edson at their quoted rates/prices for a one-year period, in order to have a pool of qualified stenographers available for public hearings of the Town Council and various boards.
4. A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for Class 2 & 3 Uniforms for DPW to the lowest responsive bidder, Seaside Uniforms, at their quoted prices, for a one-year period, ending January 2, 2024.
5. A MOTION TO GRANT permission to Dolores Zompa and David A. Zoglio of Coastal Modular Homes of RI  to transport a modular home through Narragansett to 51 Calef Avenue, Plat M, Lot 94, on or around February 27, 2023, subject to local and state regulations.

A MOTION TO AWARD the bid for the Purchase of Wastewater Chemicals for Potassium Permanganate at $2.52/pound and for Sodium Hypochlorite 12% to 15% Solution at $2.349 per gallon to Univar Solutions USA, Inc. and for Sodium Bisulfite 38% Solution at $3.40 per gallon to JCI Jones Chemicals, Inc.  AWARDED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

7. A MOTION TO APPROVE acceptance of the donation of land at Assessor’s Plat K, Lots 281 & 282 (Frances Avenue), WAIVE all taxes accrued on said lots, year to date and AUTHORIZE the Town Manager to execute the applicable tax donation form No. 8283, acknowledging receipt of real property.  APPROVED, WAIVED AND AUTHORIZED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

8. A MOTION TO APPROVE the Bobby Doyle 5 Mile Summer Classic Road Race on Sunday, August 13, 2023, subject to state and local laws. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

 

9. A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from VetSurf Corp to conduct two (2) free surfing events for disabled veterans at the Town Beach on Saturday, June 10, 2023, and August 26, 2023, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

10.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the preparation and application of Penntek Floor Coating at four (4) Parks and Recreation ladies and men’s bathrooms, one (1) concession area and one (1) closet, to be completed by DiStefano Brothers Construction, Inc. in the amount of $27,264.05. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

11. A MOTION TO INTRODUCE, READ, PASS AND ACCEPT as a first reading an ordinance in amendment of Chapter 58 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Narragansett entitled “Retirement and Pensions” specifically “Normal Retirement Benefits” Sec. 25, (a), (b), and (c).
