A MOTION OF APPROVE the contract extension for Professional Stenographic Reporting Services with three (3) vendors: Lisa Thacker, Alesha Cerrito, and Dianne Edson at their quoted rates/prices for a one-year period, in order to have a pool of qualified stenographers available for public hearings of the Town Council and various boards.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

  1. PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT

  1. A MOTION TO APPROVE the request from VetSurf Corp to conduct two (2) free surfing events for disabled veterans at the Town Beach on Saturday, June 10, 2023, and August 26, 2023, from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm subject to state and local regulations. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

10.  A MOTION TO APPROVE the preparation and application of Penntek Floor Coating at four (4) Parks and Recreation ladies and men’s bathrooms, one (1) concession area and one (1) closet, to be completed by DiStefano Brothers Construction, Inc. in the amount of $27,264.05. APPROVED (Cicilline Buonanno/Ferrandi 5-0)

  1. A MOTION TO INTRODUCE, READ, PASS AND ACCEPT as a first reading an ordinance in amendment of Chapter 58 of the Code of Ordinances of the Town of Narragansett entitled “Retirement and Pensions” specifically “Normal Retirement Benefits” Sec. 25, (a), (b), and (c).
