Call to Order

After presentations by the Applicant, members of the Public will be allowed 2 opportunities to speak on agenda items.  The Chair will ask if anyone from the Public has questions of the Applicant to understand the project.  After questions are closed, the Chair will ask if anyone from the Public has comments.  Members of the Public will have up to 3 minutes per person to comment.  Comments should be limited to the exterior design of the building and site.  Comments will not be allowed as to the interior design or use of the project, etc.  Thank you for participating.

 

Preliminary:

 

1.     Tuschick, Elizabeth Simkins Trustee.  Plat 5, Lot 14.  Fire# 445 Ocean Avenue. Application to enlarge existing one-story one bay garage to a two-story garage with two bays and a second-floor accessory dwelling unit.

2.     VVO Real Estate Holding Corp Plat 6, Lot 107. Fire #41 Water Street.  Application by Glen Fontecchio for construction of a replacement structure of the Harborside Hotel.

3.     32 Dodge ST Block Island OPCO LLC. Plat 6, Lot 133-1. Fire#440 Dodge Street. Application by Newport Collaborative Architects for interior room renovation comprised of finish and fixture upgrades with minor exterior modifications including addition of condensing units in the rear of building and creation of a storage enclosure below the existing exterior stairs.

 

Other Business:

 

Discuss training options that is now required by Rhode Island law.

 

Discuss and act on the HDC’s 2024 meeting schedule.

 

Approval of minutes: Approval of minutes from October 23, 2023.
