Public Input

 

1.   Receive and act on update from Town Solicitor re: Island Entertainment, Inc. dba Spring House Hotel; Shoreham, Inc. dba Ballard’s Inn; Island Pond, Inc. dba Mahogany Shoals; Coastal Resorts International, Inc.; dba National Hotel and Aldo’s Place, Inc., dba Aldo’s Restaurant and Pizza v. Town of New Shoreham. (This item may be discussed in closed session pursuant to RI General Laws 42-46-5(a)(2) (2): sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation, or work sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation)

 

2.   Discuss and take action to protect the public with regard to the recent series of moped and other accidents culminating in a moped accident fatality and a serious personal injury; the Town's reduced ability to deal with such accidents and injuries because the number of the Town's rescue personnel have been reduced because of the COVID-19 crisis; the overwhelming of the Town's medical resources; and the overwhelming of the Town's police force and resources.

4.   Discuss and act on Discuss and act on possible amendment to the “Emergency Ordinance II of the Town of New Shoreham Adopted May 27, 2020” pertaining to communal housing and other issues during the COVID-19 pandemic
