The New Shoreham Town Council will meet via telecommunication pursuant to

State of Rhode Island Executive Order 20-25 dated April 15, 2020.

 

Agenda

 

1.   Department level review continued Community Support

·         BI Health Services,

·         Library,

·         BI Volunteer Fire & Rescue,

·         BI Early Learning Center,

·         Senior Advisory Committee,

·         NAMI-BI;

·         Block Island School;

 

2.   Authorize execution of 2020 DEM Recreation Grant by Town Manager re: Andy's Way New Boardwalk and Beach Access Improvements- $47,000.00

 

3.   Receive and Act on agreement for grant of easement with Deepwater Wind Block Island LLC [This may discussion may be held in closed session pursuant to RI General Laws 42-46-1(a)(5) Any discussions or considerations related to the acquisition or lease of real property for public purposes, or of the disposition of publicly held property wherein advanced public information would be detrimental to the interest of the public.]

 

4.   Receive and act on Agreement for Grant of Easement with Narragansett Electric Company, Inc. [This may discussion may be held in closed session pursuant to RI General Laws 42-46-1(a)(5) Any discussions or considerations related to the acquisition or lease of real property for public purposes, or of the disposition of publicly held property wherein advanced public information would be detrimental to the interest of the public.]

 

5.   Discuss and act on contract negotiations with New Shoreham Employees’ Association [this discussion may be held in closed session pursuant to Rhode Island Laws §42-46-5(a)(2) “Sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation, or work sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation.”]

Two ways to comment:

 

1.   Send your comments and questions 24 hours before the meeting to townclerk@new-shoreham.com.  They will be printed out and distributed to the Town Council.  The Council will be able to take time to read them before the meeting.

2.   Register to comment by phone during the meeting by emailing the number of the phone you’ll be using, your name, and the organization (if any) you are representing to townclerk@new-shoreheam.com  24 hours before the meeting.  Instructions will be emailed back.
