1.   Receive Planning Board Communication and Set Public Hearing Date for Proposed Amendments to TNS Zoning Ordinance Section 202(A) definition of “Building Height” requiring building height be measured from base flood elevation in Special Flood Hazard Areas.  This amendment is related to a recent amendment the State’s Zoning Enabling Act. 

 

2.   Receive Planning Board communication from Planning Board and set public hearing date for Proposed Amendments to TNS Zoning Article 3 Zoning Districts and Regulations – “Dimensional Standards” and Amendments to TNS General Ordinances Chapter 11 Natural Resources Protection “Flood Ordinance” establishing reduced maximum building heights for structures in Special Flood Hazard Areas

 

3.   Adjust new Public Hearing Date for application by Block Island Land Trust, Block Island conservancy, and The Nature Conservancy to amend TNS Zoning Ordinance Section 202(A) definition of “Developable Land” to exclude land held under conservation easements 

 

4.   Set Public Hearing Date for Application by 54 Dodge Street Block Island OpCo, LLC to amend TNS Zoning Ordinance to add a new definition “Accessory Hotel Room”  to Section 202; a new use to 312 (E ) and to add a new Section 407 ( C), “Standards in the Old Harbor Commercial District” regarding the development of hotels

 

5.   Act on resolution authorizing Representative-Signature-Certifier for the USDA ReConnect Grant/Loan Program for the Block Island Island-Wide Broadband Project

 

6.   Receive and act on Warrant for March 23, 2020 Special Financial Town Meeting for capital improvements at the Block Island Water Company

 

7.   Receive and act to award bid for Landfill Closure capping material

 

8.   Receive report on Boston Post Cane

 

9.   Receive and act on communication from Rhode Island Airport Corporation re: request for letter of support for proposed “Preservation of Safe Airspace” legislation

 

10. Receive and act on proposal to improve visitor experience and reduce downtown congestion: bathrooms; lockers; signage; funding Welcome Center; seasonal closure of Chapel Street between Water Street and Weldon’s Way
