1.   Public Comment

 

2.   Public Hearing: Receive and act on Amendment to Town of New Shoreham Zoning Ordinance Section 513(F)(4), Standards for Town Employee Accessory Apartments

 

3.   Public Hearing: Receive and act on Amendments to Town of New Shoreham Zoning Ordinance Sections 110, 112, 113, 202, 302, 320, 421, 502, 504, 506, 508, 509, 512, 513, 517, 518, 602, 603, 701, 703, 704, 705, 707, 708, 709, 711.  The amendments are related to the duties of the Building Official and Zoning Official to ensure continued proper enforcement and administration of the Zoning Ordinance.  The ordinance currently specifies the Building Official shall serve as the Zoning Enforcement Official.  The Town no longer has a combined Building Official / Zoning Official and certain duties assigned within the Zoning Ordinance are proposed to be amended to Zoning Official rather than Building Official as appropriate.   Additional minor amendments for gender neutral phrasing have also been included and proposed within these amendments

 

4.   Receive presentation from the New Shoreham Water Superintendent John Breunig and Attorney David Petrarca and set public hearing date regarding revisions to New Shoreham Town Ordinance §7:19-501 - Mandatory Water Restrictions

 

5.   Discuss and act on recommendations from the Motor Vehicles for Hire Commission:

a.   Renewal of Motor Vehicles for Hire licenses

b.   Award 2022-2023 taxi license to John Cullen

c.   Approval of the Taxi waitlist

 

6.   Discuss and act on a request from Chris Warfel to waive the fees associated with his application to amend the Zoning ordinance Section 513

 

7.   Update on legislative agenda

 

8.   Announce vacancies on Board, Commission and Committees

 

9.   Correspondence: Notice to the Town re: Application for Preliminary Plan state of Minor Subdivision Plat 10, Lots 68-1, 68-2, 68-3, 68-4, 68-5, 68-6, 68-7, 68-8, 72 and Plat 7 Lots 159-2, 160 & 165 for Gaffett; Notice of Public Hearing re: Special Use Permit for 585 Beach Ave, LLC, Plat 5, Lot 92

 

10. Approve minutes: April 13, 2022, April 20, 2022 (open and closed)

 

11. Receive, discuss and act on update regarding negotiations between RI Council 94 AFSCME, AFL-CIO Local 2855 New Shoreham Employee’s Association and Town of New Shoreham and New Shoreham School Committee, This item may be discussed in closed session pursuant to RI General Laws 42-46-5(a) (2) Sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation, or work sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation.

 

12. Receive and act on report regarding Finnimore & Fisher Inc., d/b/a Island Mopen v. Town of New Shoreham, et al. (WC-2022-0021) This item may be held in closed session pursuant to RIGL 42-46-5 (a)(2) for sessions pertaining to litigation.
