1.      Discuss and act on negotiations with between International Brotherhood of Police Officers, Local 720 (representing members of New Shoreham Police Department) and Town of New Shoreham. This item may be discussed in closed session pursuant to RI General Laws 42-46-5(a) (2) Sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation, or work sessions pertaining to collective bargaining or litigation.

a.       Approval of Minutes: March 1, 2023

4.      Public Hearing: Discuss and act on proposed amendment to New Shoreham Zoning Ordinance through application of Gary Pollard Section 111(A)(15) General Prohibitions; Section 311(D) Old Harbor Commercial Zone/Permitted Uses; Section 312(D) New Harbor Commercial Zone/Permitted Uses

 

5.      Discuss and act on a resolution to initiate legislation to amend tax rate structure on Block Island

 

6.      Discuss and act on changes to cemetery lot purchase fees at the Island Cemetery: creating a tiered system for residents, non-residents, and taxpayers.

 

7.      Update on Public Safety Complex planning/development status.

 

8.      Receive and act on Report of Town Manager (Public Works, Finance, School, School Construction Project, Library, Recreation, Administration, Harbors, Broadband, Police, Roads)

 

9.      Receive and act on Town-wide Service Contracts including:

a.       Bed & Breakfast Accommodations

b.      Collection of Tippy Can

c.       Road Material

 

10.  Discuss and act on Board, Commission and Committees:

a.       Appoint Board of Canvassers: 2 Alternate positions (1 year term)

b.      Appoint Police Advisory Commission member (5 year term)

c.       Announce Vacancies

 

11.  FY24 Budget Overview presentation
