Board of License Commissioners

1.   Discuss and act on a request of Kelly Walsh for Conserfest for a Class F1 Liquor License for a music festival at the Southeast Lighthouse on June 23, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

 

2.   Discuss and act on request of Madeline Murphy for relief under the New Shoreham Liquor License Rules and Regulations, Article II. New License Applications, Section E. Relief to allow application to be made for a new BVL liquor license outside of the prescribed timeframe and to allow a potential increase to the license cap outside the prescribed timeframe

5.   Consent Agenda:

b.   Grant 2023/2024 Game License Applications for Aldo’s Bakery (1 game); Champlin’s Marina & Resort (1 game);  Club Soda (4 games); Neptune House (2 games); Old Island Pub (2 games); and Yellow Kittens (1 game)

c.   Act to approve request of Constance Volante Finn to exchange Island Cemetery lot Plat 3, Lot 91D for Plat 3, Lot 91B 

 

6.   Receive update regarding the negotiations of the Town’s potential purchase of the Community Center Plat 6, Lot 90-9 and authorize the return of the grant, allocated for the purchase, to the state

 

7.   Receive and discuss response of the State Traffic Commission to the Town’s request to implement parking restrictions and speed limit restrictions on Block Island state roads

 

8.   Discuss and act on a one-year contract between the Town of New Shoreham and Alison Ring for Planner and GIS services

 

9.   Discuss and act on a one-year extension of the contract between the Town of New Shoreham and Finance Director Amy Land

 

10. Discuss and act on Board, Commission and Committees:

a.   Appointment of two positions to the Sam P. Meadow Property Management Committee, term expiring 12/1/2025

b.   Announce vacancies:

i.    Commission on Motor Vehicles for Hire: One (not MVFH licensee) (term exp. 12/2026)

ii.   Sewer District Commission: Two Alternate positions (1-year terms)

iii.  Water District Commission: Two Alternate positions (1-year terms)
