1.   Public comment

 

2.   Consent Agenda:

a.   Approval of Minutes: February 1, 2024 open and closed; February 21, 2024

b.   Approval of 2024 – 2025 Shellfish Closure

c.   Authorize the hunting, possession and taking of deer within the boundaries of the Town of New Shoreham

 

3.   Act to set a public hearing date for proposed amendments to the New Shoreham Zoning Ordinance to be consistent with state law changes adopted in 2023 to the Zoning Enabling Act regarding substandard lots.  Schedule public hearing for proposed amendments to the following New Shoreham Zoning Ordinance sections: § 113 Non-Conformance; § 306 Residential A; and § 307 Residential B

 

4.   Receive and act on request for Town’s waiver of Right of First Refusal for Salt Pond Settlement moderately priced Unit A5

 

5.   Discuss Town process for addressing private resiliency projects

 

6.   Begin discussion of drainage/restructuring the north and south parking lots at the Town Beach, Corn Neck Road

 

7.   Discuss and act on authorizing the Town Manager to submit a grant application to the RI Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission for research and ground penetrating radar for the Island Cometary, known as the Color Cemetery and the State Indian Historic Cemetery

 

8.   Discuss and act on Board, Commission and Committees:

a.   Appointment of Board of Canvassers: One (6-year term); Two Alternate positions (1 year term)

b.   Announce Vacancies:

i.    Commission on Motor Vehicles for Hire: One (not MVFH licensee) (term exp. 12/2026)

ii.   Police Advisory Committee: One (term exp. 12/2027)

iii.  Sewer District Commission: One (5-year term, exp 4/30/2029); Two Alternate positions (1 year term)

iv.  Water District Commission: One (5-year term, exp 4/30/2029); Two Alternate positions (1 year term)
