Present: Second Warden Nancy Dodge, Town Councilors Molly O’Neill and William McCombe. Absent: First Warden Keith Stover, Tristan Payne

Also present were Chief of Police Paul Deane, Town Solicitor James Callaghan. Deputy Town Clerk Keisha Brown was present to take the minutes of the meeting.

 

Second Warden Dodge called the meeting to order at 4:00 P.M.

 

Ms. Dodge convened the Board of License Commissioners and moved to open the public hearing to address Beverage Licenses and Outdoor Entertainment Licenses.  The motion was seconded by Ms. O’Neill and carried.

Class A Beverage - Receive and act on renewals for Class A Beverage licenses

Meriton Guiguri was present for MacLac Enterprises.

Karen Benson, abutter to 585 Beach Ave requested that a stipulation be put in place to revisit this license, to review the license within a year. David Houseman stated that there were no issues this past season.
William McCombe made a motion to renew a class BH Liquor License for the 585 Beach Ave, d/b/a Inn at Spring House, with no stipulations. Molly O’Neill seconded the motion, all were in favor and the motion carried.

Steve Filippi was present for Shoreham Inc.
Ms. Dodge spoke about the stipulations and wanted to keep those stipulations in place. Mr. Filipi sited state law regarding the timeline that the stipulations can legally be placed on his business by the board.  Sergeant Joe Dematteo reported that there were no issues this past summer. Town Solicitor James Callaghan stated that the Board of License Commissioners has the right to implement stipulations.
Ms. Dodge made a motion to continue the public hearing to a date certain, December 1, 2025, to facilitate the completion of negotiations between attorneys. The motion was seconded by Mr. McCombe all were in favor and the motion carried.

2.      Limited to a one artist and or/ two-piece ensembles only

 

Ms. O’Neill seconded the motion.

 

Sadie Flateman requested that item #2 be lifted. Mr. McCombe stated that he would prefer to have this discussion with a full council present. All were in favor.

 

Mr. McCombe withdrew his motion to renew an outdoor entertainment license for GSP Table Productions d/b/a Virginia’s Pizza. Ms. O’Neill withdrew her second.
