2.       Consent Agenda:

a.       Act to approve minutes: January 5, 2026 and January 8, 2026

b.       Act to reset the membership of the New Shoreham Local 250 Committee from 8 members to 7 members, eliminating Jane Conway from the committee

c.       Receive Correspondence:

                                                              i.      William Landry on behalf of Salt Pond Settlement re: ensuring recognition and protection of a 10’ right of way across the Sam P. Meadow in favor of Salt Pond Settlement 

                                                            ii.      Adam Wronowski of Block Island Express re: landing fee payment remitted for the 2025 season

 

3.       Discuss and act on Board, Commission and Committees:

a.       Appoint member to the Board of Assessment Review with term exp. 12/2028

4.       Receive and act on request from Solar Initiative of Block Island to place and operate an EV electric charger in the Town Hall parking lot

6.       Discuss and act on adopting two resolutions regarding funding for the O’Brien Property affordable housing project (Plat 18, Lot 2-3):

a.       Authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds to finance operational expenses of the Block Island Housing Board not to exceed $2,000,000

b.       Authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds to finance the planning, design, construction, development, furnishing and finishing of a housing program of approximately 16 units on Plat 18, Lot 2-3 by the Block Island Housing Board (The Ball O’Brien Project)

 

7.       Discuss and act on recommendation from the Town Manager to award bid to Operate the Food and Beverage Concession at the Fred Benson Town Beach to 4J’s Seafood (Rebecca’s) and authorize agreement from May 1, 2026 to December 1, 2030

 

8.       Receive and act on Report of Town Manager (Public Works, Finance, School, School Construction Project, Library, Recreation, Administration, Harbors, Broadband, Police, Roads, Human Services)

 

9.       Receive and act on the Financial Reports

 

10.   Review and announce budget hearing schedule
