The Town of New Shoreham Planning Board will be in session for a meeting on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at the Town Hall, Old Town Road, Block Island, RI.

AGENDA

1.   Public Hearing for Proposed Amendments to the Land Development and Subdivision Regulations Article 2, Section 201 & Article 3, Section 304 to consider amendments to the Town’s Land Development and Subdivisions Regulations.  The purpose of the amendments is to make the definition of developable land within the Land Development and Subdivision Regulations consistent with the Town’s Zoning Ordinance. 

2.   Act on a request to provide the Town Council with findings and a recommendation for an Application by Block Island Land Trust, Block Island Conservancy and The Nature Conservancy for proposed amendments to the Land Development and Subdivision Regulations Article 2, Section 201 and Article 3, 304 and Zoning Ordinance Section 202.

3.   Act on a request to provide the Town Council with findings and a recommendation for an Application by 54 Dodge Street Block Island OpCo, LLC (Plat 6, Lot 123 & 131) regarding the development of Inns and Hotels. The proposed amendment would provide additional special use standards for hotels and inns in the OHC Zone. The proposal also creates Accessory Hotel Room as a new use allowed by a Special Use Permit accessory to a hotel in the Old Harbor Commercial Zone.  

4.   Act on a request to provide the Town Council with findings and a recommendation for an Application by Christopher Warfel to amend the New Shoreham Zoning Ordinance Sections 425 and 517 regarding the placement of solar arrays.
