1.   Block Island Housing Board. Discuss strategies for affordable and attainable housing. Prioritize and identify feasible/favorable to implement in the short term, provide feedback to Weston & Sampson.

2.   Historic District. Discussion with property owners regarding expanding the district. Additional areas include the New Harbor Commercial area of Ocean and Beach Ave, Corn Neck Road heading north to Mosquito Beach, and Connecticut Ave to a section of Old Town Road.  Opportunity to speak or to write a letter for or against. 

3.   Zoning Ordinance, define uses in the list of prohibited uses that the Ordinance does not offer a definition of.

4.   Outdoor Lighting Ordinance. Discuss and Act on an amendment to Zoning Ordinance, Section 512, Outdoor Lighting Ordinance.

5.   The HM&FMP Advisory Committee would like to bring to your attention that from March 17-April 7, 2025, a Draft of the Hazard Mitigation & Flood Management Plan (HM&FMP) will be available on the Town’s website (Project webpage) for review and comment (https://www.newshorehamri.gov/437/Hazard-Mitigation-Flood-Management-Plan) and a Public Hearing on the Draft Plan will be held at the Town Council’s April 7, 2025 Meeting.
