WORKSHOP RE:  BUDGET OVERVIEW

The following items of business, filed with the City Clerk under the Rules of the Council, came before the Council at a workshop held on  May 10, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 43 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840.

The CITY CLERK called the Roll and the following members were present:

MAYOR KHAMSYVORAVONG opened the workshop.  Laura Sitrin, Finance Director provided an overview of the budgets for the Parking Fund, Finance & Unallocated, City Manager, City Council, Canvassing & City Solicitor.  Laura Swistak, City Clerk, provided an overview of the City Clerk’s Department budget.  Discussion occurred among the Council and CITY SOLICITOR BEHAN.
