Discussion and possible action/vote with regard to the acceptance of meeting minutes from the meeting of May 5, 2026.

Mayor Lombardi would like discussion and possible vote on two possible sales:
1) Consideration of the sale of a portion of Laurier Street to Michael Baran (10 Utter Street)
2) Consideration of the sale to the Charles Condominiums (1190 Charles Street), a portion of undeveloped road.

Town Council to consider approval of an application from Smith Realty, LLC to amend Article II, Section 203(Use Table) of the Zoning Ordinance of the Town of North Providence to classify Doggy Day Care as permitted use in the CP, CV and CG Districts only. This application was advertised in the Providence Journal on February 6, 13 and 20, 2026 for hearing on this date. (This item was continued from May Meeting)
PROPOSED ORDINANCE: Notice was given of a Public Hearing on this day whereby the Town Council would consider passage of the following proposed ordinances.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TOWN OF NORTH PROVIDENCE ZONING ORDINANCE, ARTICLE 2, SECTION 203 (USE TABLE). (This item is in connection with the previous Zone Change Item and was continued from the May Meeting)

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER NINETEEN (19), ARTICLE TEN (10), SECTION ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY-TWO OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF NORTH PROVIDENCE, ENTITLED “NO PARKING -GENERALLY”, TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON MAY STREET.

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20-249 OF THE TOWN CODE OF ORDINANCES CONCERNING THE JUVENILE HEARING BOARD.

Town Council to consider a vote for the approval of a Class F1 license for Behind Bars Mixology for an event at Camp Meehan on October 4, 2026.

Town Council to consider a vote for the approval of a Peddler/Vendor License for a Mobile Food Truck for Totten Foods LLC dba Big Dog Eats, 23 Gibbons Ave, Warwick, RI.

Town Council to consider a vote for the approval of a Peddler/Vendor License for a Mobile Food Truck for Meat Sweats RI, LLC.,109 Breakheart Hill Road, West Greenwich, RI.

Town Council to consider a vote for the approval of a Peddler/ Vendor License for a Mobile Food Trailer for The Lemon Bar, 1530 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI

Town Council to consider a vote for the approval of a Peddler/ Vendor License for Keith Lambert of New England Novelty for Fireworks to be sold at 1720 Mineral Spring Avenue.

Town Council to consider the approval of a Peddler/Vendor License to sell fireworks from Alex Mutzabaugh of Keystone Novelties Distributors, LLC d/b/a Keystone Fireworks Tent at 41 Smithfield Road and 1525 Smith Street. (2 Locations)

Town Council to consider the approval of a Victualling License for Restaurante El Abuelo, LLC, 1525 Smith Street, North Providence, RI

Mr. Luis Torres would like a discussion on a possible speed bump on Lojai Boulevard.

Maureen Girard would like a discussion on possible soil contamination at Pate Properties.

Representative from Mega Management to appear at the request of the council to discuss the frequent problems of trash and yard waste pickup.

Mike Murphy and Andrew Plocica to appear, at the request of the council, to address safety concerns related to golf balls entering residential properties along Woodward Road and potential mitigation measures, including fencing or protective netting, at the adjacent golf course

Sheri Lupoli, Grants Manager, requests discussion and possible vote regarding authorization to enter into an agreement with DOT regarding the Centredale Streetscape and Revitalization Project. (This item was continued from May Town Council Meeting)

Lisa Andoscia of Rosewood Consulting requests discussion on information concerning Centredale Streetscape.

Hector Betancur would like to present a petition in opposition to this issue.

Police Chief Ruggiero and Councilman Loporchio would like discussion and possible vote on 1 of One Lounge, 1759 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence.

Received a letter of resignation to be accepted with regret from Joseph A. Giammarco of the Historic District Commission.
