SUSPENSION ORDER
WHEREAS: On January 6, 1998, Virginia Voccola, dba: Capital City Towing Service, Inc., addresses listed above, filed a tariff increase for the transportation of motor vehicles by towaway method. The proposed tariff increase is for towing of automobiles, storage (including all types of vehicles) and two new Sections: Rule No. 50 "Extra Equipment" and Rule No. 55 "Tolls."
WHEREAS: The Division of Public Utilities and Carriers ("Division") is of the opinion that the public interest requires a thorough and complete investigation of the proposed increase. Therefore, the Division feels that a public hearing is warranted in this case.
Now, therefore, it is
That the Division, on its own motion and pursuant to the provisions of Title 39-12 of the Rhode Island General Laws, as amended, hereby suspends the proposed tariff rate increase pending a hearing.
