PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION

ORDER TO RESCIND

WHEREAS, On December 16, 1997, Chadwick Telecommunications Corporation (Company") filed with the Rhode Island Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") its Statement of Business Operations and proposed services, rates, charges and regulations for approval as a Competitive Switchless Reseller ("CSR") of telecommunications services in Rhode Island [1 Registration approved on January 6, 1998. Order No. 15499.]; and

WHEREAS, On February 2, 1998, the Company notified its intent to discontinue service in Rhode Island effective March 1, 1998 and requested that its registration as a CSR be cancelled; and

WHEREAS, On February 2, 1998, the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers ("Division") filed a memorandum supporting the Company's request;

Accordingly, it is

(15529) ORDERED:

1) That the registration as Competitive Switchless Reseller of Chadwick Telecommunications Corporation is hereby revoked.

2) That the Company is not authorized to provide telecommunications service as a CSR in the State of Rhode Island.

EFFECTIVE AT PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND ON FEBRUARY 10, 1998, PURSUANT TO AN OPEN MEETING DECISION.
