RECONSIDERATION HEARING
TAXI DRIVER APPLICATION
WHEREAS: David A. DeMagistris' application to drive a taxi was disapproved because his record from the Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Identification showed that he was convicted of a felony in 1995. (Breaking and Entering)
WHEREAS: A hearing was held on March 24, 1998 on Mr. DeMagistris' request for reconsideration.
WHEREAS: Mr. DeMagistris produced a document from the Rhode Island Superior Court showing that the B & E charge was reduced to trespassing on private property, a misdemeanor.
WHEREAS: Mr. DeMagistris said he will be re-entering the military in four months and needs to work to help his father.
Accordingly, it is
That Mr. DeMagistris' application to drive a taxicab in the state of Rhode Island is hereby approved.
