REVOCATION ORDER
WHEREAS: The parties listed on Attachment 1 of this Order have authority issued by this office allowing for the transportation of property for hire as common carriers, over irregular routes, between points within the state of Rhode Island.
WHEREAS: In accordance with Title 39-12-7 of the General Laws of Rhode Island, as amended, all holders of certificates of public convenience and necessity are required to renew their operating certificates prior to the close of each calendar year. According to the office records, the carriers listed on Attachment 1 have not renewed their operating certificates for the calendar year 1998.
WHEREAS: In accordance with Title 39-12-26 of the General Laws of Rhode Island, as amended, all holders of certificates of public convenience and necessity must also register each vehicle utilized under the authority granted in their certificate. According to our files, the carriers listed on Attachment 1 have not registered any vehicles for 1998.
WHEREAS: The Division conducted a duly noticed hearing on June 25, 1998 at 9:30 A.M. to determine whether the motor carriers listed on the Attachment are out of business or are operating in violation of the aforementioned statutes. The purpose of the scheduled hearing was to allow companies to show cause why their operating certificates should not be suspended or revoked. No one on behalf of the companies listed on Attachment 1 appeared at the scheduled hearing.
Accordingly, it is
That the certificates of public convenience and necessity reflected on Attachment 1 are hereby revoked effective this date.
