ORDER
WHEREAS: The Division, on its own motion, reopened Docket No. 96-MC-01 and received testimony on April 22, 1997, May 14, 1997 and May 23, 1997 pertaining to the implementation of non-consensual towing storage rates.
WHEREAS: The Division, on July 21, 1997, issued Order NO. 15347 establishing a charge of seventeen dollars ($17.00) per day with charges for the first day and last day at one dollar ($1.00) an hour not to exceed $17.00.
WHEREAS: Rhode Island Towing Association appealed the Division decision to the Superior Court which remanded it back to the Division to take additional testimony.
WHEREAS: The Division and the Towing Association negotiated a settlement involving all rates for non-consensual tows and storage (attached as part of this Order).
WHEREAS: The Towing Association and the Division agreed to dismiss said litigation with prejudice in Superior Court.
Accordingly, it is
That the Division approves the attached stipulation.
