Order 15719 - Narr. Elec.: Contract Termination Charge

 

STATE OF RHODE ISLAND AND PROVIDENCE PLANTATIONS

PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION

ORDER

WHEREAS, On July 27, 1998, the Narragansett Electric Company (the "Company" or Narragansett") filed rates with the Public Utilities Commission ("Commission") pursuant to R.I.G.L. Section 39-3-10; and

WHEREAS, Notice of the proposed tariff changes was published pursuant to R.I.G.L. Section 39-3-11; and

WHEREAS, Public hearings were held on September 16, 23 and 24, 1998; and

WHEREAS, Parties were given the opportunity at the close of the hearings to present oral statements or file written comments; and

WHEREAS, The Commission, after reviewing the testimony, exhibits, and briefs of the parties, deliberated at an open meeting held on October 21, 1998, ordered the Company to file a revised Rate G-62 designed to fully recover a Transition Charge of 2.8 cents to become effective on November 1, 1998; and

WHEREAS, The Company has filed the revised Rate G-62 as ordered by the Commission,

Accordingly, it is

(15719) Ordered:

1. That the Company's revised Rate G-62 is found to comply with the Commission's October 21, 1998 order.

2. That the revised Rate G-62 shall become effective on November 1, 1998, for usage on and after November 1, 1998.
